You can jump to the bottom of the page to head to our shop and grab your Fall Math Learning Mat Bundle, or read on for ideas on utilizing these printable activities.

Young students will have so much fun strengthening their fine motor skills with the apple shape play-dough mats. These mats are a fun way to learn the names of shapes and build up their fine motor muscles.

These play-dough mats can be a wonderful addition to a math center in the classroom for autumn season educational activities. Teachers can also incorporate the themed printables into their small group time throughout the autumn months.

Included are eleven apple shapes: circle, diamond, heart, hexagon, octagon, oval, pentagon, rectangle, square, star, and triangle. Each page with fall leaves as a fun border. Be sure to laminate each mat for durability and easy clean up.

This bundle also has many fun activities with autumn themes to add to your number sense and counting lesson plans. The three number recognition activities are a great way to incorporate fall things into learning such an important skill.

On the Leaf Count and Write seasonal worksheet pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students will work on number recognition, number formation skills, and one to one correspondence. Young learners will count the number of fall leaves in each ten frame and then write the correct number in the box.

This page can be used as printable worksheets for a whole class of students or laminated and used in a math center with a dry erase marker. A perfect way to help students who need more work on their fine motor muscles would be to add this to your tracing activities and use a highlighter to write each number and have the student trace the number.

Make learning fun by using these preschool worksheets at the end of a leaf hunt. Go outside and enjoy the cooler weather. Collect fall leaves and use them as a hands-on ten frame counting activity.

Use the leaves collected on your leaf hunt to work out the problems from the seasonal worksheet. Grab our free download of ten frame mats and place the leaves on the ten frame mat as they are on the Leaf Count and Write worksheet.

Count the number of fall leaves on the ten frame mat together. Students will then record the number to the corresponding ten frame on their fun fall worksheets. Hands-on activities like this always help the learning process feel more fun.

Pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students can also work on their number recognition skills with the Pumpkin Number Match and Count the Leaves printable activities. Young kids will have fun learning with these interactive kindergarten fall math worksheets.

Make this printable pack reusable for a math center by laminating the mats and cut out pages. Add clear velcro dots to the numbers on the mats and to the back of the cut out pieces.

Students just beginning to identify numbers can work on number recognition with the Pumpkin Number Match. They will pull a card with a pumpkin number, say the number, and match it to the same number on the mat.

This activity is a great way to incorporate a fall theme while also working on an important skill.

The Count the Leaves learning mat is great for pre-k and kindergarten students who are working on one-to-one correspondence. Students will count the number of fall leaves on each tree and match the card to the correct number on the learning mat to work on early math skills like number recognition and counting.

Have preschool students practice identifying colors and kindergarten students work on color sight words with the Pumpkin Color Match learning mat. These printable pages can also be used as a seasonal worksheet or laminated to make reusable with velcro dots added.

Young learners will pull a card and identify the color of the pumpkin. They will then match the pumpkin to the same color on the learning mat.

Older children can also enjoy this activity by spelling each color word as they put it in the right place on the learning mat.

The last fun activity in this collection of printable fall worksheets is the Fall Patterns Learning Mat. The fall pumpkin farm theme makes practicing patterns so much fun.

Pre-k and kindergarten students can use this seasonal worksheet as a math center or during a small group with a teach as a fun way to practice completing patterns fall objects. Again, laminating these printable pages and using velcro dots will make them reusable.

Have students determine whether the farm trucks or little pumpkins should come next in the pattern. To help students during a small group the teacher can write with a dry erase marker on the laminated page the letters A, B, and C.

All of these pre-k and kindergarten fall math worksheets are also great to be used for homeschool families as well, which is what we do. I have the mats laminated and we use the mats to practice math skills in similar ways as they would be used in a classroom.

All of the suggestions above are ways I would have used these printable activities when I was a public school pre-kindergarten teacher. I hope you find this printable pack to be the perfect addition to your fall educational activities.
